Pastor Cream had no earthly idea of the plan that God had for his life.  During his military service as a soldier he answered the clarion call and he said “YES LORD” in September 1988 under the leadership of Bishop Juan Lawson.  Upon receiving the Baptism of the Holy Ghost, Pastor Cream’s life was forever changed.  He became very active in his community and the church at various levels.  He became radical about leading  others to Christ and teaching  them how to receive the Holy Ghost: through prayer, fasting, tarrying, and expounding “The Word of God.”  Later acknowledged his call to the ministry.  Pastor Cream preached his first sermon in November 1991 from the book of Saint John’s Chapter 3, “You Must Be Born Again.”  Pastor Cream is a strong advocate of both marriage, family and community.  His primary goal is to seek and save that which is lost and to bring the message of  Jesus Christ to every creature.

Pastor Cream served tirelessly on many different auxiliaries and committees in the church.  He served as member of the choir, a member of the usher board, President of  the transportation committee,  Chairman of the Finance Committee, President of the Young People Willing Workers, Sunday School Superintendent, and a member of the Pastoral  Staff.   Pastor Cream had the attitude that no job was too large or to insignificant for him to serve.  Pastor Cream was ordained as an Elder in the 85th Holy Convocation in August 1999: and in June 2002 the Lord gave birth and vision to Pastor  Cream to organize and prepared the ground work to start a church.  Pastor Cream was installed on May 24, 2007 as the Pastor of the Holy Mount Zion Temple of Deliverance Church of God in Christ located at 4008 Lafayette Blvd Fredericksburg, Virginia 22408. Bishop Ted Thomas Sr., incorporated and dedicated Holy Mount Zion Temple of Deliverance into the denomination of the Church of God in Christ Inc.  This Resolution was accepted and incorporated into the Church of God in Christ, Inc.  In March 2006, Bishop Ted Thomas Sr., Jurisdictional Prelate of Virginia appointed Pastor Cream as his Episcopal Adjutant and in 2014 the Delegated of the General Council of Pastors and Elders elected Pastor Wayne Cream as the Vice-Chairman of the Pastors and Elders Council.  

Pastor Cream's experience and steadfast loyalty to the church and  his leaders has placed him among his peers.  His vision, purpose and excellence has lead him to be a leader which is transparent, stable, and faithful.  Pastor Cream’s visionary leadership with his enormous integrity has provided phenomenal growth and tremendous blessing to his church and the community.   Pastor Cream has implemented several programs in his local church.  Pastor Cream is a prolific speaker and renowned teacher,  dynamic preacher, a elder statesman, a builder, and a trail blazer for the Lord.  Pastor Cream has some unique ability to communicate the Word of God without compromise.  He is a lover of God’s people and a beloved friend and mentor to all. 

Under his leadership Holy Mount Zion Temple of Deliverance Church of God in Christ has experienced innovative growth and phenomenal success.  Pastor Cream’s accomplishments coupled with his love and his devotion to God and the church, has instilled confidence in the membership that he is a leader capable of  taking them to the next level in ministry.  Pastor Cream has been given an awesome gift of God, for he has the Word not only hidden in his heart, but stored in his memory.  If you listen carefully, you will hear  him define both his relationship with God and his name:
