Pastor Wayne Cream was born on May 11, 1957, in Camden, New Jersey to Mr. & Mrs. George Edward Cream. Pastor Cream completed his education in the Camden Public School System. His parents chose to bring him up in the Methodist Church and dedicated his life to God. During his early years in the church he served as an Altar Boy in the Methodist Church. It was at the tender age of 16 when a young lady named Lalita Denise Twyman caught his attention. After graduating from High School, on September 24, 1977, Pastor Cream united in holy matrimony to Lalita Denise Twyman. Four days later Pastor Cream joined the United States Army to furthered his Education. God blessed this union with one child, Wayna Charee Cream. Pastor Cream served 22 honorable years as a senior First Sergeant of a company of 405 military personnel assigned with a budget of 6.2 million dollars. Pastor Cream served his country honorable and was awarded numerous military awards: which included two Legion of Merit Meritorious Service Medals which are the highest medal a soldier can receive during peace time service. He also received five Army Commendation Medals two Army Achievement Medals and seven Good Conduct Medals for his faithful service to his country. Pastor Cream retired as a Sergeant Major in the United States Army on June 30, 1999.
Pastor Cream had no earthly idea of the plan that God had for his life. During his military service as a soldier he answered the clarion call and he said “YES LORD” in September 1988 under the leadership of Bishop Juan Lawson. Upon receiving the Baptism of the Holy Ghost, Pastor Cream’s life was forever changed. He became very active in his community and the church at various levels. He became radical about leading others to Christ and teaching them how to receive the Holy Ghost: through prayer, fasting, tarrying, and expounding “The Word of God.” Later acknowledged his call to the ministry. Pastor Cream preached his first sermon in November 1991 from the book of Saint John’s Chapter 3, “You Must Be Born Again.” Pastor Cream is a strong advocate of both marriage, family and community. His primary goal is to seek and save that which is lost and to bring the message of Jesus Christ to every creature.
Pastor Cream served tirelessly on many different auxiliaries and committees in the church. He served as member of the choir, a member of the usher board, President of the transportation committee, Chairman of the Finance Committee, President of the Young People Willing Workers, Sunday School Superintendent, and a member of the Pastoral Staff. Pastor Cream had the attitude that no job was too large or to insignificant for him to serve. Pastor Cream was ordained as an Elder in the 85th Holy Convocation in August 1999: and in June 2002 the Lord gave birth and vision to Pastor Cream to organize and prepared the ground work to start a church. Pastor Cream was installed on May 24, 2007 as the Pastor of the Holy Mount Zion Temple of Deliverance Church of God in Christ located at 4008 Lafayette Blvd Fredericksburg, Virginia 22408. Bishop Ted Thomas Sr., incorporated and dedicated Holy Mount Zion Temple of Deliverance into the denomination of the Church of God in Christ Inc.
